Ups & Downs

Baby came home.
Baby doing well.
Mommas instinct says baby's not doing so well even after mornings first doctors visit.
Baby goes to hospital and is admitted, tested and put under lights.
Baby undergoes extensive testing.
Baby very lethargic and unresponsive...jaundice.
Momma makes the hard decision to not stay the night with baby as she is in too much pain to sleep in blue lit room on chair bed.
Momma wakes at 3am to pump and call hospital. Baby is doing great and finally start seating... like a lil' piggy. Yay!
Mom and dad go to the hospital and baby comes off of the blue light.
Baby(& momma) spend next 24 hours for observation, he drinks mommy dry and needs to be supplemented, maintains body heat and is finally sent home!

That is how the week started. Yesterday was uneventful which was very nice. Haha. But we did manage to squeeze in a 30 second video. So here is baby Asa. Both Daddy and Uncle Dusten think he looks like a little old man...lol. He does, but he's my little old man...hehe. Oh and right after I say "Say hi to the camera", you can clearly hear him say hi. Ok, maybe not clearly, but sorta. Alright so it may just be a grunt, but I am pretty sure it was "hi" and that my baby is extremely advanced.

P.S. The slippers are little giraffes and they have little feet too...LOL.

I'm sorry it's been a rough week, but hey, I was jaundiced when I was first born, and look how cool I turned out! Perhaps that's the first sign of true genius? Hmm...

I'm glad everything seems to be going well. What a rough start! He's very cute! Yes, he does look like a little old man, but in an absolutely adorable way! And I do think I heard Hi!

Keep on trusting your Mama instincts!
