I snapped this photo today of Mike and Devon. I want to do a tattoo theme layout and thought they would be perfect subjects as they both have multiples. Devon actually has a bikini top on but I didn't like the strap across her back so she discretely (Jeff quickly covered his eyes even though he wouldn't have been able to see anything which cracked us all up!) undid the tie for this shot.
So here's my question is this shot too bold for an industry/tradeshow layout?
Personally I love the shot. I think it's artistic and real. I also think is shows an intimacy between a husband and wife that is different from the norm, another reason I like it so much. So I would like to hear from you other scrappers out there. Would it bother you to see this photo on a layout in a magazine, gallery, or tradeshow?
Hope everyone's enjoying the weekend!

Oops... I didn't read your blog entry before posting the first time. :)
Anyhow... Beautiful photo! I love it!
But I don't think it'll fly... my instinct tells me it's just too "artistic" for mainstream mags.
Actually, I think it would look awesome enlarged and framed. It really is a great shot.
Hugs,
Dana
i love it....it wouldn't offend me to see it -- especially the way you scrap...but you never know about some people!
Danea...I think its a beautiful photo...I wouldn't be offended by it at all! I was just skimming through the Oct. CK and there's a photo in it...that surprised me a bit...I think your work it beautiful and that photo is amazing! I say go for it! :)
personally, i think this is a BEAUTIFUL shot! and i agree, that it does show their affection and love for one another, so i vote to go for it!!!
It is so beautifully artistic and not in the least bit offensive. Maybe it is a bit ahead of its time, but I still think it is worth scrapping. Especially if it has meaning to you.
As far as publishing it. I have no idea. But, it is such an awesome shot, Danae!
I think it's a beautiful shot and I'd totally use it!
I love this shot, and think it's beautiful and tastefully done. My guess is that the mainstream mags would shy away from it, but really, they shouldn't!
Helpful as mud, right? But what's going to happen when the young and tattooed are scrapping, and never see themselves reflected in the industry?
I'd certainly give it a try!
I think it's a cool photo. I wouldn't be offended at all. It's unique and different. You'd think that manufacturers would appreciate something new.
I say go for it!
(Sorry, didn't mean to post anonymous! I clicked the wrong button on accident.)

I like it and so I have to say go for it. You never know until you try.
Hey girl! I love the shot, I think it is beautiful and artistic. I think that most people would love to see something a little more edgy like this.
I was in on a round table discussion for a scrapbook company and a lot of people brought up more edgy type things, so you never know!
as your mother I say USE IT!!!!!
I love it and I would just be careful about your title is all. Nothing about your brothers news??
I love it Danea!!!!!!! And yes, it definitely could be framed and used as art.
I think it's beautiful Danea.
Danea
I look at if from artistic state me personally... I LOVE IT! It shows the individual personality, their love of INK, and he is holding her with such love! I say go for it!
Le Anne
I think it's great! It's very tasteful and I love the emotion. Personally, I would love to see something not so mainstream!
I think it is a beautiful photo and I say run with it ! I would LOVE to see what you come up for this one ! Hey , I am a LOT older then some posting so listen to your ELDER ! LOL !
Depends on where you plan to publish (or submit). Some places are more relaxed than others. If you're scrapping it for publication ~ you'll have to be crazy selective, but if you're doing it for the sheer enjoyment and satisfaction of creating a kickass work of art ... then it shouldn't matter. I guess it just boils down to your intent, KWIM?
Needless to say, I love this shot Danea! Very artsy and intimate, just beautiful.
